These terms govern your use of The Refutation (the “Service”), operated by The Refutation (ABN 99 671 625 194) (“we”, “us”). By using the site or subscribing, you agree to them.
The Refutation publishes educational content and data-journalism about quantitative trading research — how strategies are tested, why most fail, and what the evidence shows.
Nothing on the Service is financial product advice, a recommendation, or a signals service, and none of it is tailored to your personal circumstances, objectives, or needs. Trading and investing carry risk, including the risk of losing more than you invest. Backtested and historical results are hypothetical, do not represent actual trading, and past performance does not indicate future results. You are solely responsible for your decisions and should seek advice from a licensed professional before acting on anything you read.

You can cancel at any time from your account or by emailing us. Your access continues until the end of the paid period you have already been billed for. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
The content, research, charts, and brand are ours (or our licensors’). Your subscription is for your personal use — please don’t republish, resell, or redistribute paid content without our written permission.
Don’t misuse the Service — no attempts to break security, scrape at scale, share paid access, or use the Service unlawfully.
The Service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for loss arising from your use of it. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee or right you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the courts of that jurisdiction.
We may update these terms; the “Effective” date shows the latest version. Continued use means you accept the update.
