The Refutation (ABN 99 671 625 194) is an Australian business (“we”, “us”, “our”). You can reach us at [email protected]. This policy explains how we handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
We add you to the list only after you confirm your address by clicking a link we email you (double opt-in). You can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing.
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the letter, and only for that purpose: Brevo (email delivery), Stripe (payments), and Cloudflare (hosting and security).
Some of these providers store or process data outside Australia (including in the United States). By subscribing, you consent to your information being handled overseas. We take reasonable steps to use providers with appropriate protections.
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We keep your information while you are subscribed and for as long as the law requires, then delete or de-identify it. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you (APPs 12 and 13) by emailing [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity first.
The marketing pages set no tracking cookies. The members area uses a single essential session cookie so you stay signed in; it is not used for advertising.
Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also email us to be removed.
